We stand in humbled submission to God and with this precious Gillispie family, to announce the transition of Thelma Hayes Gillispie. She transitioned from this life on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at the Autumn Care Nursing Facility in Salisbury, NC.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Love Christian Center, 102 N. Long Street, East Spencer, NC 28039.
Celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Melton Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Winfall, NC. with Rev. Alvin J. Boone, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in the Hobbs Family Cemetery, Winfall, NC. Viewing and Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of Service.
She leaves behind 86 years of love and legacy to: her children, Charles G. Gillispie, Jr., Giles A. Gillispie (Merita), Sylvia J. Gillispie and Kenneth A. Gillispie (Bianca) all of Salisbury, NC; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Hayes of Newark, NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Hayes, Gillispie and ALL connected families by the Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations, Elizabeth City.
