Rina Poyner-Riddick

With sincere compassion and  care, we stand hand in hand along with the relatives of Rina Poyner-Riddick, as they prepare to celebrate her loving memory. Rina Poyner-Riddick, age 59, of 201 Herman Arnold Road, Camden, NC, transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday afternoon, November 27, 2018 at the Maryview Medical Center, in Portsmouth, Virginia. 

An intimate and meaningful celebration of her life will take place on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Oak Grove Cemetery. Comforting words will be given by Bishop David L. White, Jr. Moments of Viewing and Meditation will take place with this loving family in honor of their loved one on Saturday evening, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Request for friends and loved ones to share precious yet private moments with this family can visit the residence of Annie Brooks at 104 Willow Way, Elizabeth City, N.C. 

Rina leaves behind a legacy of love for: her daughter, Shea Riddick of Elizabeth City, NC; one granddaughter, Nykeah Riddick of Elizabeth City, NC; her siblings, Annie Marie Brooks of Elizabeth City, NC, Charlie Poyner, Sr., (Jackie) of Chesapeake, VA, Melvin Poyner, Jr., (Renee) of Elizabeth City, NC, Douglas Poyner, Sr., (Rose) of Hertford, NC and Linda Franklin of Elizabeth City, NC; special niece, Stacey Mitchell of Elizabeth City, NC; two special nephews, Thomas Brooks, Sr., of Elizabeth City, NC and Kevin Brooks of Greenville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
