Our beloved, Joyce Evonne Johnson departed from this earthly life on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center.
Life Celebration Services will take place on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Frederick Z. Godfrey is Pastor, Pastor Ray Hill will be oficiating and Pastor Virgle Wilder will be delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Dove's Landing Cemetery (Formerly New Oak Grove Cemetery). Her viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Joyce leaves to cherish her precious memories: two sons, Eric Johnson (Dasha) and William Johnson both of Elizabeth City, NC; one grandson, Carmelo Johnson; one granddaughter, Sariyah Johnson; siblings, Rosemary Hill (Rev. Ray) of Elizabeth City, NC; Jessica Gail Adams (Casper) of Elizabeth City, NC; John Johnson (Angela) of Camden, NC; Earl Johnson of Elizabeth City, NC and Carrietta Spence of Elizabeth City, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
