Dexter Elliott Williams, Sr.

Our beloved, Dexter E. Williams, Sr., of the Newland section of Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this life on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Sentara Albemarle Medical Center.

The DASH of his life will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Forrest Park Church in Elizabeth City, NC with Rev. Dr. Michael Barclift, officiating and Bishop David L. White, Jr., delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. A walk-through viewing will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. We are following all COVID-19 restrictions.

All of Elizabeth City, NC.  Twelve Grandchildren:  Qymar, Zhaniyah, Dremaine, Dex”Onna, Jermaine Jr., Julius Jr., Ju’Leah, Glennae, India, La’Veon, Lae’Onni, and Alae’Yah. Five brothers, John E. Williams and Abel (Judy) Williams of Baltimore, MD, Bryant Williams of Allentown, PA, Aubrey (Mary) Williams, Everett (Denise) Williams, of Elizabeth City, NC  two foster brothers, Howard (Ivory) Williams and Anthony (June) Williams of Elizabeth City, NC; Three sisters, Channie (Marvin) Knight of Allentown, PA, Gilbertine Griffin and Evelyn Williams of Elizabeth City, NC; Father and Mother In-love: Earl and Deloris Griffin; In-loves: Melody Griffin, Stacey (Angelia) Griffin, Marlisa (Arderrick) Wiggins, Yemane Earl Griffin, of Elizabeth City, NC.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and coworkers/brothers.
