Virginia (Overton) Williams

In humble submission to the will of God, we stand with the Williams family to promulgate the passing of Mrs. Virginia Overton Williams. At the beautiful and blissful age of 95, our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend transitioned from this life, on Saturday, March 2, 2019 surrounded by her bedside with loving family. 

Life Celebration Services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Community Church, Elizabeth City, NC with Bishop Mack Freshwater, officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Moments of viewing and meditation with Mrs. Virginia, will take place on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. At the times, the family will receive friends at the home of the deceased, 224 Katies Trail, Elizabeth City, NC.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Diane Gramby, Candy Green (Larry) and Rita Bowe (Herbert) all of Elizabeth City, NC; two sons, Randy Williams (Valerie) and Dwight Williams, both of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Doris Moore and Hazel Purvis, both of Elizabeth City, NC; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
