Vernon Van White, Sr.

In humbled submission to the will of God, we stand with this loving White family as they promulgate to all on the passing of their beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, Deacon Vernon Van White, Sr. He transitioned to his Heavenly home on Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Sentara Hospice House in Virginia Beach, VA. 

Life Celebration Services will take place on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Melton Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Winfall, NC with Rev. Alvin J. Boone, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake, VA. A viewing will take place at the church on Thursday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family is receiving friends at 305 King Street, Winfall, NC. 
 

Vernon leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Karla White-Murrell of Mebane, NC, Vernette Green of Winston, NC; one son, Vernon Van White Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; two stepsons, William Keys of Como, NC and Jerry Keys of Portsmouth, VA; one sister Genet Barrow of Norfolk, VA; four grandchildren, Ajeenah White of Charlotte, NC, Justin White of Clarksville, TN, Brooklyn Murrell of Mebane, NC and Khori White of Virginia Beach, VA; two step grandchildren, Kaleb Johnson and Ahmari Powers both of Virginia Beach, VA, one great-grandson, Niem White of Clarksville, TN and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
