With humbled hearts, the remaining loved ones of our beloved, Retired SSG Lena Mae Barnard Tremble, has been tasked with the moment to announce to all through Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations, that she transitioned from this life peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at her residence.

At the request of Lena, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

She leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories: four children, Denita Maddox of Elizabeth City, NC, Julius Tremble (Sierra) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Linwood M. Gallop, Jr., (Celia) of Elizabeth City, NC and Wyteria Gallop of Florida; loving mother, Alease Sylvester of Elizabeth City, NC; siblings, Australia Figgs (William), Eugene Simmons, Evonne Simmons, Henry Simmons and Heather Simmons; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
