Our beloved, Joe Taylor, age 78 of 1405 Herrington Road, Elizabeth City, NC, transitioned from this life on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by family and friends.

Celebration of Joe's life will take place on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at the Mount Lebanon A.M.E. Zion Church, with Pastor Javan Leach, officiating and Rev. Dr. Randy Johnson, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the New Oak Grove Cemetery. Moments of Viewing and Meditation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. He will also lie in state at the church on Saturday, from 1:30 until time of service. The family is receiving friends at the home of the deceased.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one sister, Carole Burris-Clarke (Fernando) of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
