Isabell Odell (Gibbs) Gallop

Our beloved, Isabell Gibbs Gallop, age 87 of 807 Shannon Street, Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this earthly life on Monday, October 22, 2018 in the comfort of her daughters home with her loving family surrounding her bedside. 

Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Eastern Star Church of God in Christ, Elizabeth City, NC with Pastor Jessie C. Purkett, officiating and Elder George Brackett, Sr., delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Melody and Elder George Brackett, 1000 Azalea Trail, Elizabeth City, NC. 

She leaves to cherish her memories: loving children, Diane Gallop of Ft. Pierce, Fl, Frederick Gallop (Angela) of Camden, NC, Olivia G. Evans and Dr. Melody Brackett (George) and Michael Gallop of Elizabeth City, NC; grandchildren she raised as her own, Tangela Lewis of Goldsboro, NC, Juvanda Crutch (Kevin), James Tillett and Kashaun Elliott, all of Elizabeth City, NC; three sisters-in-law, Rosa Burnham of Elizabeth City, NC and Emma McMillian of Shiloh, NC and Lucille Gallop of Elizabeth City, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Final Care and Compassionate Services are being expressed to the Gallop and connected families with sympathy, care and comfort by Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations.
