We at Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations have been tasked by this precious Perry family to promulgate to all, on the transition of Mr. Clarence Perry, Sr., as he exchanged time for eternity on Sunday, April 21, 2019.
Life Celebration Services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Mount Lebanon A.M.E. Zion Church, Elizabeth City, NC. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Viewing and quiet moments of mediation with Mr. Perry will take place on Friday, from 6:00-8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Jesse and Yvonne Walton, 927 Simpson Ditch Road, Elizabeth City, NC.
Clarence leaves an awesome legacy to his five children, Janet B. Harris of Elizabeth City, NC; Loretta D. Perry and Nitche L. Perry of Dublin., GA; Clarence Perry, Jr. (Sharon) of Flowery Branch, GA and Desmond Perry (Dawn) of Wilmington, NC; eleven grandchildren-Damon, Rhonda, Terrance, Tyree, Aysha, Nala, Martesa, Desmond, Jr., Damont, Deshawn and Aliyah; twelve great grandchildren-Chantelle, Shanice, Cornetius, Nicole, Imani, Aliyah, Nyla, Brianna, Trindon, Torri, Ashli and Jazzlyn; eight great-great grandchildren-Ayaunia, Eugene, Jr., Sy’nari, Terrance, Jaden, Annyah, Abrianna and Torri. He is also survived by five siblings, Clara P. James (his twin sister) of Waterbury, CT; James Perry and Elnora P. Alleyne of Plainfield, NJ; Shirley Perry and Vivian B. Perry of Elizabeth City, NC ; one aunt, Mary Frances James of Woodville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
