Our beloved, Benjamin Franklin Respass, age 72 of 1407 Cooke Street, Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this earthly life on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his residence.

Ben's Life will be celebrated on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11am at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Frederick Godfrey, Pastor and Minister Dean Satterfield, delivering the eulogy. His place of rest will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: loving wife, Joanne Poole Respass, of the home; children, Zena Respass Jackson (Ervin) of Elizabeth City, NC, Willis McCullen of Fayetteville, NC, Ersell McCullen of Savannah, Ga, Karlos Poole and James Poole of Elizabeth City, NC and Akeema Davenport of Richmond, VA; one sister, Rebecca Respass Smith of Florida; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Respass and connected families by Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations.
