My condolences to Wendy's family. I had the honor to serve with Wendy at Ft Story, VA. We also deployed together to Afghanistan and Iraq. She was a great leader and mentor. She always ensured that all her troops where well taking care of, like a mother taking care of her children. So very sorry to hear of her passing.

On behalf of the White Family: Betty, Angela, Rev Terrance, Joseph, Gerald, Cassandra, and the rest of the family we just want to let you all know we are praying for you. Ms. Wendy was of course our Woodville Heights neighbor. She lived right across the street from myself with the rest of her family for years and it is from my understanding that Ms. Wendy, my mom, aunt and uncles all grew up together down here. We send our sincere condolences to the entire family. To Jakia, and Devin whom I grew up with since we lived right across the street from one another I am praying for you both.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Shannon family. Wendy was an amazing person with a heart of gold. Her smile and laughter could light up a room. She didn't meet a stranger and had a way of bringing people together. She will be greatly missed. I am glad I could call her friend.

I am so very sorry that you have suffered this loss. It is hard to know just what to say when a loved one dies. Be assured that our loving Creator is aware of your loss and pain. Through His Son, Christ Jesus, he has arranged to bring back to life, "all those in the Memorial tombs." (John 5:28,29) At that time, Rev. 21:3-5 says: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” I am very sorry for your loss. May God's Word, the Bible comfort you and your family. Sincerely, Meryl, jw.org - healingwordsforu@gmail.com

Tammy And Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Wendy. Wendy was a person that loved and enjoyed life. Once a week I would see her in Walmart and we would greet each other with a hug. Then, she would say something funny and we both would laugh. We would also talk about the punch she always made. Please know that I love all of you and that I will always be here for you. Be Blessed. To the Shannon family. Words do not come easily when it a friend from your childhood all the way to the present day. I will say for Wendy she was and will be remembered as a great Mom, Nana, Sister, Auntie, Daughter and Cousin. The world lost a true fighter who served our Country and fought for our freedom. She was very happy with her job at PCI. I know that her loss will be felt for many many years to come. She has left a footprint that many will be able to follow. I will forever love and miss Wendy. She was a great friend to me. I will continue to pray with you and for you as you push forward trying to understand the why's. Please know this Shannon family. The same God that brought you too this is the same God that will bring you thru this. To you my friend Heaven earned a beautifully blessed Angel. I know we will meet again, but until then just be blessed in Heaven. I loved you much before and even more now. Goodnight sweet princess may flights of Angels take thee to thy rest. Father in thy precious keeping leave you now our servant sleeping. Goodnight goodnight no more sorrow. Goodnight until tomorrow Wendy Shannon.

Ms. Shannon,

There are many wonderful memories I have of you! Although we met at PCI, you were a mentor to me and encouraged me in my military career as an NCO. Your smile, your laugh, your jokes, and most importantly, the example that you set is something that I will always carry with me. An exceptional person in every capacity! It won't be the same without you, but I am glad to have known you and I thank you for your service and sacrifice. A true hero and friend now flying high! Even though it hurts, I would rather miss you than to have not known you at all because it was truly a privilege. Forever in hearts until we meet again...see you later Battle!

To the family,

You are most aware of how very special Ms. Shannon is! I pray that the peace of Christ is the comfort you need during this time and the times to come. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful soul with so many of us! Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this time of immeasurable loss.
