I'm so sorry for your loss. I was a caregiver for mr. Joe at the currituck house. I enjoyed hearing him sing and whistle a hymn. He is now in a better place and I hope to see him again someday.

To the Harris Family: Our thoughts and prayers have been with you since we learned of the passing of your loved one. I have known Brother Joe all of my life and found him to be a very caring, jovial, and loving person. I enjoyed visiting with him and his wife, Sister Mary, when Allen and I would go to see them. To my forever friend, Allen, as you know, we will continue to stay in touch!

My deepest condolences to the Harris family for the passing of my dear friend Mr. "Joe" Harris. I count it any honor to have known Mr. Joe, and I enjoyed being a part of his care team when he was a resident at Currituck House. He was such a joy to see in the mornings when I would come in, always smiling. I would always stop and speak and ask him to "give me a little bit of a song" and every time, he'd hit us with, "Looord you know that I'm your child". He'd take us to church every time he had the opportunity to sing to us! That is one of my fondest memories of Mr. Joe. I pray God's strength and peace upon your family in your time of grief. He will truly be missed.
