Willie Calvin Gorham

Our beloved, Willie Calvin Gorham, 96 of Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this life on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. 

Life Celebration Services will take place on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Lebanon A.M.E. Zion Church, Elizabeth City, NC with Pastor Javan Leach Officiating.  A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a wake service beginning at 7:00 p.m. The family is receiving friends at the home of the deceased, 1500 College Street, Elizabeth City, NC. 

Willie spent his last night surrounded by his family and loved ones. He went to bed, turned off the light, and peacefully slipped away to eternal life in Heaven. Willie was highly regarded as a man of kindness, humor, and hard work in Elizabeth City and its surrounding areas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mary Parker Gorham, sons William E. "Kuby" Gorham, Karl Lee Gorham, Corey Levell Gorham, and daughter Gloria Ann Gorham. He is survived by one son, Adolph "Ronnie" Gorham (Joann), two grandsons, Tehran L. Gorham and Camron T. Gorham, one granddaughter, T'Shawn T. Gorham, two great-granddaughters, Heaven I. Rountree and Promise S. Burke, one daughter-in-law, Diane Gorham, two honorary grandsons, Daniel Jones and Kenori Lassiter, a special friend and companion, Mary McFarland, and a host of family, loved ones, and friends.
