Wilbert Seymore

Wilbert Seymore, 76, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 in Elizabeth City, NC.

Mr. Seymore was born in Elizabeth City, NC on October 5, 1946, and was the son of the late Roy Seymore and Lila Mae Evans Seymore.  In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his son, Wilbert Ivan Seymore; his two brothers, Willie Seymore and Roy Rudolph Seymore; and sister, Gail Seymore Razor.

In his professional life, he worked in the Automotive Service Industry as a Technician for over 30 years.  Mr. Seymore worked at “Sears” in the automotive service department for 13 years, and then he decided to step out on faith to open up his own business, “Seymore’s Automotive Shop” in 1990 until his retirement in 2004.

He is survived by his wife, Alfreda Seymore of Elizabeth City, NC; his daughter, Kimberly M. Seymore of Woodbridge, VA; his stepson, Joseph Spruill (Michelle) of Seattle, WA; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
