As we bow in humbled submission to the will of God, we the Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations Caring Staff come on behalf of the loved ones of Tamkia Marie Cunningham to announce to all on her earthly transition from this life on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. She exchanged time for eternity at the age of 41 years old.
Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 12:00 noon at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC with Rev. Dr. Ricky L. Banks, Officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. A walk-through glimpse of "Meke" showing off her gold will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her daughter, Kayla Marie Munden; her mother, Geneva Cunningham Harris; her father, Johnny Carlton Crutch (Latrenya); step father, John Wayne Bembury; seven sisters, Acquita Cunningham (Ron), Shomekia Cunningham, Danielle Bembury and Manyella Williams all of Elizabeth City, NC, Ja’Mya Roulac of Edenton, Nc, Chikina Crutch of Bronx, NY and Shaquera Cunningham of Oklahoma City, Ok; one brother, Jayquan Crutch of Edenton, NC; a special daughter-niece Quasia Woodley; a very special best-friend, Santina Norman; a very special loving friend, Ly’Ron Welch and Larry Munden whom she was married to and later divorced; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins aunts, uncles and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and great-grandparents, Geraldine Cunningham, Catherine Crutch, Willie Mae Bembury, Dennis Cunningham, Willie & Veola Walker, Thaddeus & Cora Crutch; and one special brother, Rashad Williams.
We say to "Meek", it broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone...part of US went with you, the day GOD called you home.
