Susan “Susie” Carol Lloyd Lilley, 59, of Knotts Island, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

Susie is survived by her daughter, Lauren (Chris) Lambert, grandchildren Natalie, Adalynn, Christina, and Chip; and her son, Alan (Amanda) Hunter, and grandchildren Ava and Amelia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Lloyd and Alice McBride; and her beloved husband, Grover “Leroy” Lilley.

Susie was raised in northern Virginia and raised her family in Fredericksburg, VA. She worked for Defense Threat Reduction Agency “DTRA” as a comptroller. She was an active player in the softball league with her work colleagues, who became like family. Kept in touch with many throughout her life. Susie always had a love for animals and plants. She had a talent for training any animal to do anything and bringing any plant back to life. She loved to learn new things and spend time with her family and friends.
