Our beloved, Ronald B. Bogues Sr., departed from this earthly life on August 17, 2021 at the Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. 

Life Celebration Service will take place on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Guiding Light Apostolic Church, Camden, NC with Pastor Daniel Spellman, Officiating. Interment will follow in the Bogues Family Cemetery, Camden, NC. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Masks will be required. 

He leaves to cherish her loving memories: wife, Shirley Evans Bogues of the home; two children, Ronald Bernard Bogues, Jr., (Angela) of Upper Marlboro, MD and Chavez Bogues (Gwendolyn) of Camden, NC; three grandchildren, Treavon Ware of Maryland, Chabria Bogues of Camden, NC and Mikel Bogues of Maryland; one god-daughter, Reeshonda Outlaw of Greenville, NC; three god-grandchildren; three siblings, Bennie Bogues (LaWanda) of Camden, NC, Cordia Ceder'O (Eddie) of Bronx, NY and Myra Turner of Washington, D.C.; one aunt, Berdie Mae Muse of Brooklyn, NY; one uncle, James Johnson (Dollie) of Portsmouth, VA; mother-in-law, Sylvia Barnard of Camden, NC; father-in-law, Joseph Dozier (Roxanne) of Southampton, NY; siblings-in-law, Douglas Barnard (Jennifer) of South Mills, NC, Karen Edwards (Howard) of Chesapeake, VA; Deborah Smith of Orlando, FL, Marilyn Roberson (Rob) of Brick, NJ and Michael Dozier (Patrice) of Atlanta, GA; one aunt-in-law, Gloria Cannon of Southampton, NY; and a special brother, Roosevelt Spence; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
