Our beloved Mrs. Pennie James departed from this life on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday January 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations Chapel with Brother Roscoe James, officiating. A walk-through viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 pm until 6:00pm. We are following all COVID-19 restrictions. Mask are required. The services will be live-streamed.

James of Elizabeth City, NC, Shirley A Dickerson (Michael) of Marietta, GA Samuel James (Valerie) of Suffolk, VA, Wayne P. James of Chesapeake, VA, Beverly R. James of Elizabeth City, NC, Terri V. James of Stone Mountain, GA, and & Eric J. James (Malissa) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Penny, Brandon, Candace, Jasmine, Paige, Chad, Jason, Mary Ashley, Corey, Gabriel, Senya, Zoe, Zayden, and five great grandchildren. She also has a host of nieces and nephews.
