Our beloved, Pastor William Purcelle Mullen, Sr., exchanged time for eternity on Monday, August 23, 2021.

Life Celebration Services will take place on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Samuel Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Moyock, NC, Bishop Little Joe Powell, Jr., Pastor and Elder Richard Saunders, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Mullen Family Cemetery, Moyock, NC. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. 

He leaves to cherish his memories 6 children Calvin Mullen of Moyock, NC, Allen Dozier of Elizabeth City, NC, William Mullen Jr. (Lynette) of Moyock, NC, Regina Lee of Moyock, NC, Travis Mullen, of Fayetteville, NC, and Derrick Mullen, of Elizabeth City, NC. 12 Siblings Evelynn Poyner, Lucreasia Evans, Ebe Tyrone Barrington, Carroll Cowell (Clara), Mavis Ward (Russell), Jean Harris (George), Terry Lewis, Iris Dance, Gardner Cowell (Pam), Anthony Cowell, Tiffany Overton, and Rodriguez Cowell.  5 Sister-in-Laws Sharon Cowell, Fontana Cowell, Beulah Spellman, Ulah Black (Elijah), Jean Williams (Leonard). 1 Brother-in-Law Charles Williams. 14 Grandchildren Tra’Keshia Brooks, Nicole Lee, Sedrick Lee, Travis Ochs, Lolitta Bryant, Rochelle Mullen, Alex Mullen, Issac Mullen, Isaiah Mullen, Shekina Mullen, Xavier Mullen, Deja Mullen, Jeda Mullen, Mariah Mullen. 3 God-Children Richard Saunders Jr., Demetrius Saunders, Shamekia Saunders. We cannot forget to mention his “Brother from Another Mother” Elder Ronald Johnson. Along with a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
