Myra Joyce (Shaw) Etheridge

Our beloved, Myra Joyce Shaw Etheridge, age 82, of Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this earthly life on Thursday, July 18, 2024. 

Her life will be remembered on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Shiloh, NC, with Rev. W.T. Davis Officiating and Rev. Samuel K. Shaw, III delivering the eulogy. She will be laid to rest in West Lawn Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC. She will lie in state on Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. 

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: children, Vera Griffin (Roy) of Elizabeth City, NC, Tawanda Etheridge of Paramus, NJ and Anthony Leathers (Marilyn) of Fayetteville, NC; siblings, Waverly Knight of Elizabeth City, NC, Samuel K. Shaw, Jr., (Jeanette) of Waterbury, CT and Alvin Shaw of Camden, NC; one sister-in-law, Juanita Williams of Elizabeth City, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
