Our beloved, Minister Wealtha D. Johnikins age 80, of Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this earthly life on Friday, December 8, 2023.
Life Celebration Services will occur on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC. Interment will follow in the Sawyer's Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Minister Johnikins will forever be remembered by her devoted children: Samuel L. Tiggs of New York, Edith Evans (Glenn), Willie Griffin, Candy Griffin, and Rev. Randy Griffin all of Elizabeth City, NC; eleven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one brother, Eldwood Williams of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Audrey Leolia "Sis" Armstrong and Ernestine Browder both of Elizabeth City, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
