Marylene (Langley) Ferebee

Our beloved, Marylene Langley Ferebee, age 85 of South Mills, NC, departed from this earthly life on Friday, October 13, 2023. 

Life Celebration Services will take place on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Samuel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC with Bishop Little Joe Powell, Jr., Officiating and Rev. Timothy Hicks, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake, VA. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Jacqueline Hicks (Buddy) 417 Hickory Drive, Elizabeth City, NC.

She was the daughter of the late Julia and Kernel Langley of Spring Hope. She is survived by: her son, Arthur L. Langley of Spring Hope, NC and Andrew Ferebee, Jr. (Deborah); daughters, Jacqueline F. Hicks (Roosevelt "Buddy"), Juanita F. Griffin (Travis), Michell F. Turner (Wilson), Marsha F. Griffin (Clayton) all of Elizabeth City and Terrah L. Ferebee of Chesapeake, VA; sisters, Doris L. Hayes (Otto) and Delores L. Ellis both of Spring Hope; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
