Remembering Lois Z. Pereira

Lois Pereira (nee Zanine) of Elizabeth City passed away at home on August 19, 2021 following a battle with lung cancer. Lois was born at home in Philadelphia on Feb 7, 1939, the 7th of 14 children. Lois’s life was not easy but she was a fighter and a survivor. She would tell you like it was, she was quick-witted and loved to laugh. Lois loved the Lord, her family and her amazing group of friends. Lois was an active member of New Community Church. She will be missed dearly. 

She is survived  by three sons, Kevin, Joseph  & Michael , and a daughter, Virginia  (Kent). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Jozeph, Noreen (Frank), Brinton, Tyler, Jennifer  (Brandon), Michaela and Austin, as well as three great grand children. In addition she is survived by seven siblings, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. 

Her celebration of life will be held at New Community Church on Saturday September 18, 2021 at 4:00 pm. Food & fellowship to follow.  In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Lois to New Community Church (http://newcommunity.church).
