Lindsey Golden Barnard

Our beloved, Lindsey Golden Barnard, age 87, of Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this earthly life on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

Life Celebration Service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 12 noon, at Samuel Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Moyock, NC, with Bishop Marcus Etheridge, Sr., Officiating. Interment will follow in the Barnard Family Cemetery, A viewing and wake service will be held on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  at Weeping Mary Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, Moyock, NC. 

Lindsey is survived by his loving wife of nearly 68 years, Grizzell Barnard of the home; daughter, Tonia Barnard-Day, granddaughter, Natazzja Day (Kalen Williams), great grandson, Zalen, great granddaughter, Kazzja,  twin sister, Roxie B. Jones, brother Kenneth E. Barnard; six sister in laws, Elsie Mae Saunders, Adraine “Elaine” Taylor, Barbara Smith (Eugene), Eugenia Taylor-Perkins (George) and Sheila Gregory; three Godchildren Elder Valerie Myree, Korey Spellman and Azundai Chatman. Over 100 dearly loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great - great nieces and nephews, a host of other cousins, relatives and friends to forever cherish his memory.
