On Monday, October 30, 2023, Leroy McKinley Lightfoot, Jr., departed from this earthly life at the age of 68.

Life Celebration Services will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC. with Pastor Frederick Z. Godfrey, Officiating and Rev. Alvin J. Boone, Sr., delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery, Hertford, NC. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
