Our beloved, Deacon Kermit L. Jackson, Sr., 63 of Camden, NC, departed from this earthly life on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Life Celebration Services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Fountain of Life Church, Elizabeth City, NC, with Rev. Jarvis Abbott, Officiating and Pastor William T. Davis, Eulogist. He will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in West Lawn Cemetery. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased, 405 N. River Road, Camden, NC on Tuesday, October 3rd, and Wednesday, October 4th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
KJ leaves to celebrate his life, a loving and devoted wife of 37 years Carlise A. Jackson of the home; two sons, Kermit L. Jackson, Jr. (Mickayla) of Moyock,North Carolina, Kendrick L Jackson (Tiffany) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Kaiya Jackson, Kaizen Jackson. He was excited about the arrival of baby Jackson in February.
He also leaves one brother Ernest L. Jackson, Jr. (Rachel) of Norfolk, Virginia; six sisters Yvonne Mullen (David), Brenda Wynn (Edward), Nora Staten (Wade), Gail Harris, Linda Jackson all of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; Cynthia Mullen (Donald) of Newport News, Virginia; one aunt Janet Brooks of Lathan, Maryland; Mother-in-Love Doris Williams of Camden, North Carolina; one brother-in-love Jarvis Abbott (Ruby) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; foursisters-in-love Velma Banks, Hermione Cousette(David) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Brenna Spence (Victor) of Buford, Georgia, Sonya Galloway (Rick) of Concord, North Carolina; Kendal Banks, a special nephew; one uncle-in-love William Sawyer (Brenda), three aunts-in love Vivian Lilley of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Linda Coleman (Kenneth), Barbara Sawyer of Camden, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
