Juanita Herring

Our beloved, Juanita Herring, 67, departed from this earthly life on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at her residence. 

Life Celebration Services will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations Chapel. A viewing will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. 

Juanita is survived by her son Stacey Herring (Anita) of Mebane, NC and her brother Carlton Griffin of Elizabeth City, NC. Her sister McEva Griffin preceded her in death.  She had two granddaughters Tyanna Copeland and Breyana Herring who she adored so very much. She also had two great grandchildren; Elijah Brown and Alaina Brown. She loved her niece SandraMajor Muniz (Jorge) and her great nieces Shana Nicole Major and Maleisa (Moo Moo) McEva Shelton; all of Connecticut. Juanita also leaves to share her memory a childhood and long life friend, Maggie Wesley who she considered a sister.
