Remembering Johnnie White

Our beloved Mr. Johnnie White, 84 of Hertford, NC departed this life on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, Virginia Beach, VA.

Life Celebration Service will take place on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 am at Melton Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Winfall, NC with Rev. Alvin J. Boone, Sr., Officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the church on Friday. 

To always cherish his memories his loving family, Addie White, Wife of 62 years, Hertford, NC;  Annette Harvey, District Heights, MD, John White, San Diego, California, Brenda Cobbs (Earl), Newport News, Va, Shirley Bruce (LaVerne) Hertford, NC; Katie Stevens (the late Calvin) of Upper Marlboro, Md., Towanya Morgan (Chris), Elizabeth City, NC; Shirleen Parker, Princeton, New Jersey; Diane Webb and Wanda Cobbs both of Plymouth, NC. Brother, Andrew White (Thomassina), Hertford, NC, Sister, Carolyn Foreman, Elizabeth City, NC; John Foreman (Armecia), Hertford, NC; BoBeep of Hertford, NC  A Sister-in-law, Janice White of Hertford, NC. Those preceding him in death were as follows:   Sisters, Katie Figgs, Margaret Figgs, Pearlie Jackson; Brothers, Carlton Foreman, James Junior Foreman, Charles Foreman (Buddy) Randolph White and just recently, Johnathan White, Elizabeth City, NC  and so many more that have gone on to be with the Lord.  Johnnie was blessed to have had 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  He was raised by a loving adopted family of the late great James Foreman and Maggie Foreman who raised him just like one of their own.  A very special and dear friend Sylvia "Duke" Butts of Hertford, NC and a host of cousins, relatives and family and friends.
