Jean Walston Ferebee

It has become our solemn duty to promulgate to all on the passing of our beloved Jean Walston Ferebee. She transitioned from this earthly life on January 25, 2021 at the Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Life Celebration Services will take place on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations Chapel with Rev. Dr. Michael Barclift, Officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. An earthly stroll and glimpse will take place at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

   Mrs. Jean Roach Walston Ferebee was the widow of the late Lester Ferebee. She leaves behind to cherish her precious memory six children:  William Walston, Jr. (Virginia); Pamela W. Simons (Richard); Gerald Walston (Glenda); Stanley Walston; Kevin Walston, Sr. and L. O. Ferebee. One sister, Vivian Roach Gibson (Jesse);  one sister-in-law, Rosa Ferebee; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

For your safety and our extensive concerns and care  for the family we are adhering to ALL COVID-19 restrictions therefore we ask that you please make contact with the family as the service will be limited to no more than 50 persons. The services will also be streamed live.
