Gladys Lister Obituary
Our beloved, Gladys Mercer Lister, age 96 of Elizabeth City, NC departed from this earthly life on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Celebratory Services will take place on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Corner Stone Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC. Her resting place will be in the New Oak Grove Cemetery. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased, 101 Beechwood Avenue, Elizabeth City, NC.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: four children, Alfred Walston (Edna - deceased), Albert Lister (Terri) both of Fredericksburg, VA, Yvonne Banks (Walter) of Chesapeake, VA and Daphey Rountree of Elizabeth City, NC; nineteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Wallace Skinner of Baltimore, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
