Frances Sawyer Obituary
Our beloved, Frances Gregory Sawyer, age 77 of Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this earthly life on Monday, July 29, 2024.
Her life will be remembered on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at New Ramoth Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC, with Pastor Glenn T. Rountree, Officiating. She will lie in state from 12:00 noon until time of service. Interment will follow in Dove's Landing Cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one daughter, Theresa S. Rankins (Clarence) of Elizabeth City, NC; one granddaughter, Marresa Woodie of Elizabeth City, NC; one great-granddaughter, Ayah "Bootyboot" Sampson of Elizabeth City, NC; two brothers, Joseph P. Gregory, Jr., (Treva) of Elizabeth City, NC, and James A. Gregory (Josette) of Chesapeake, VA; one aunt, Celethia Gregory; one sister-in-law, Joyce Gregory of Raleigh, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
