Our beloved, Finnard Darius Tillett, 68 of Hertford, NC, departed from this earthly life on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton, NC.
Life Celebration Services will take place on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Melton Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Winfall, NC, with Rev. Alvin J. Boone, Sr., officiating and Rev. James Modlin, Jr., delivering the words of comfort. Interment with Military Rites will be in the Oak Hill A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, Hertford, NC. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander and Dorothy Moore, 815 Ocean Highway N., Hertford, NC 27944.
He leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories: four siblings, Dorothy T. Moore (Alexander) and Betty T. Long (Irving) of Hertford, NC, Gloria T. Morris (Jerry) of Norfolk, VA, and Gerry Tillett (Joyce) of Hampton, VA; one aunt, Louise E. Parker (Josephus) of Hertford, NC; one sister-in-law, Ernestine Tillett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
