Our beloved, Deaconess Fannie Odessa Harrell, 93, of Hertford, NC, departed from this earthly life on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
Life Celebration Service will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Melton Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Winfall, NC. She will lie in state from 12:00 noon until time of service.
Fannie leaves to cherish her memory four children: Rosa Riddick (Minister Bobby), Jerry Johnson (Rachel), Alvin White (Mary) all of Hertford, NC, Phillip Harrell Jr. (Cynthia) of Randallstown, MD and her youngest brother William Modlin (Peggy) of Elizabeth City, NC, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, twenty-four great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many wonderful friends, a special friend Helen Jones, and her spiritual daughter Minister Vernell Felton White. Fannie loved her family dearly and she cherished the special bond she had with her
granddaughter Sheena Hunter (Dennis). She always looked forward to visits from them every Friday along with the meals and special treats that brought her.
