Ernest Lee Commander

Our beloved, Ernest Lee Commander, age 81, of Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this earthly life on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. 

Life Celebration Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations Chapel. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. 

He will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family will also receive friends at the home of the deceased, 1314 Highland Avenue, Elizabeth City, NC.
