Ella Marie (Spence) Barclift

Our beloved, Ella Marie Spence Barclift, 77 of Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this earthly life on Thursday, October 27, 2022. 

Life Celebration Services will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC, with Pastor Frederick Z. Godfrey, Officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Elizabeth City. A viewing will take place at the church on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

Ella leaves to cherish her memory and mourn her passing:  her husband; James “JB” Barclift; two daughters, Eleanora (Thomas Jackson) of High Point, NC, and Lisa  (Floyd) Davis of Grand Prairie, TX; two sons, Richard (Patricia) Barclift of Java, VA, and  Alton (Lee) Barclift of Elizabeth City, NC; one Goddaughter, Kelly Green;  her beloved grand children: Yahesha Franklin, Monique (Craig) Blue,  Ashli Barclift, Shanice Barclift, Destiny Barclift, and Jorim Davis; great grands: Timothy Barclift, Elijah Barclift, Jaydah Barclift, Jamiyah Jackson, James Jackson, Jalysa Jackson, Kyrie Blue, Kam’ryn Rodriguez, and Ace Catoe; five brothers, Leonard (Eleanor) Spence and Albert A. (Debbie) Spence, James L. (Suzzette) Spence, and Curtis (Joyce) Dix; four sisters: Thelma Winn, Drucilla Carmichael, Theresa, and Sandra Dix; one special sister-in-law: Cherring A. Spence; sisters and brothers in laws: Beverly (Reggie), Sylvia (Michael), David, Donald, Albert, Roy, Calvin, Timothy, and Clifton; one son from love James (Bo) Mcleod Jr.; five aunts:  Jennie Blue, Maxine Ball, Emma B. Spence, Olive Jean Spence, and Consta Williams; one uncle, Clyde Spence; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a whole host of other relatives and friends.
