Obituary
Our beloved, Deacon Edward Earl Bartlett, 86 of Hertford, NC, departed from this earthly life on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.
Life Celebration Services will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Evening Light Church of God in Christ Jesus, Inc., 505 NC 305, Windsor, NC, 27983, with Apostle Dr. Luther Cherry, Officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Deacon Bartlett leaves many to cherish the memories of his beautiful life and legacy: His loving wife of 64 years, Mother Margaret Hollowell Bartlett; One son, Wade Stokes (Theresa) of Caldwell, New Jersey; one Grandson, Steven Wade Stokes (Vanessa) of Wayne, New Jersey; Three great grandchildren, Isaiah Stokes, Mckayla Stokes and Mia Stokes; two brothers-in-law, Johnnie Hollowell of Hertford, N.C., Joseph Hollowell (Mildred) of Hertford, N.C.; one sister-in-law, Mamie Hurdle (Henry) of Hertford, N.C.; three very special individuals who have become a part of the Bartlett Family and have been like “guardian angels” through their generous love, care and support: Michael Stallings, Abby Stallings and Mallorie Stallings of Hertford N.C.; as well as a host of godchildren, church children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
