Our Beloved, Missionary Dorothy B. Newby, 90 of Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this earthly life on Friday, September 1, 2023.
Life Celebration Services will take place on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Lebanon A.M.E Zion Church, Elizabeth City, NC where Rev. Javan Leach is Pastor. The Right Reverend Kenneth Monroe will deliver the Words of Comfort. She will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Following her celebration of life, she will be laid to rest in West Lawn Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC. The family will receive guests at the home of the deceased, 1208 Harris Drive, Elizabeth City, NC.
