Dorothy Buchanan

Our beloved Dorothy Buchanan, 92, of Elizabeth City, NC, departed from this earthly life on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Life Celebration Services, a time to honor and remember Dorothy, will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Noon at Samuel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC, with Rev. Kevin Lighty Officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one daughter, Samantha Rose of Coram, NY; two grandchildren, Darryl Bowe of Atlanta, GA, and Sasha Bowe of Elizabeth City, NC; two great-grandchildren, Darryl Bowe of Atlanta, GA, and Amari Mitchell of Elizabeth City, NC; two siblings, Marie Buchanan and Luther C. Buchanan both of Raleigh, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
