Donald Ray Stepney, Sr.

Our beloved, Donald Ray Stepney, Sr, 63, of Hertford, NC., departed from this earthly life on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, Va. 

Life Celebration Services will take place on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at 1:00 pm at The Assembly of the Children of God Church, Hertford, NC, with Bishop McKinley Gilliam, Officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife, Pamela Stepney of Hertford, NC; his children Donald Stepney Jr. (Lavanda) of Elizabeth City, NC; Starr Gordon (Travis) of Elizabeth City, NC; Titus Stepney (Kiara) Chesapeake, VA; and Keonya Eason Durham, NC; mother-in-law Shirley Eason Hertford, NC;  three sisters Ruby Gordon (Larry) Hertford, NC; Wonder Lewis (Jake) Hertford, NC; Brenda Valentine (Al) Highpoint, NC; and four brothers Elton Stepney (Hortense) Norfolk, VA; Steven Stepney (LeeAnn) Chesapeake,VA; Milton Stepney (Tammy) Norfolk, VA, and Larry Brickhouse (Fran) Ashboro, NC.grandchildren Keniya Jones Chesapeake, VA; Travell and Tamia Gordon Elizabeth City, NC; Za'erha Gordon Edenton, NC; Kaleb and Titus Stepney Chesapeake VA, Larry James, and Brandon Boyd both of Elizabeth City, NC; Armoni Johnson and Kassidy Eason both of Durham, NC; two sisters in law, Bernedette Kee Raleigh, NC; and Donna Smith (Corey) Durham, NC; brother in law Tyron Eason (Joycelyn) Charlotte, NC; Five Godchildren Aaron Wallace and Azzan Braxton, Khailah Bonner, Kendra Billups, and Brea Wills. Four special childhood friends Lionel Jones, Tyrone Spellman, Jerry Nixon, Alvester McClenney, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
