Our beloved, Derrick H. Egleston, 57 of Elizabeth City, NC departed from this earthly life on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, Virginia Beach, VA.
Life Celebration Services will take place on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations Chapel. He will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. His bed of rest will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his son, Zion McKenzie, Sr., of Brooklyn, NY; his mother, Evangelist Deloris Egleston of Elizabeth City, NC; father, Alex Peace of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Anthony Egleston of Queens, NY; one grandson, Zion McKenzie, Jr., of Brooklyn, NY; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
