Charlotte Belton Obituary

As a parent, regardless of the circumstances, you never imagine or even want to think that you’ll have to write an obituary for your child. When that day comes and you need to, you find yourself at a loss for words. After all, you only hope and pray that the roles would be reversed. Your children are supposed to be the ones doing this for you, not the other way around. Sadly, for us, our sweet Charlotte didn’t get that chance, God had other plans. She was taken from us way too soon. Even though she wasn’t able to breathe her first breath, celebrate her first birthday, or experience all the many firsts a parent cherishes with their child, she will always and forever be in our hearts. I was able to hold her, and her father and I were able to tell her how much she was loved. She had the cutest button nose, tiny hands and feet, so delicate and fragile, and weighing less than a pound, yet perfect in every way. She was beautiful. Our little angel Charlotte is in Heaven watching over us, along with her late Paternal Great Grandfather Charles Wilson and herlate Maternal Great-Great Grandmother Mary Maydell Ward, whom she was named after, and her late Maternal Great Grandparents, Reuben and Dorothy Patrick and late Paternal Great Grandmother Nancy Chauncey. Her second middle name Elizabeth, well, that was given to her by her older sister- Emmalynn Elizabeth Marie McCabe, so they would both share the same middle name.

Charlotte leaves behind her Father- Steven Belton, Mother- Ashley Patrick, Older sister Emma, her loving blend of grandparents: Pamela Miles (Paul Miles), Audrey Patrick (Raymond Mcneil), Darien Patrick (Becky Patrick), Maternal Great Grandparents Jack & Connie Ward, Paternal Great Grandparents Kathy Sweeney (Wayne Sweeney), Paternal Great Grandfather Kenneth Chauncey, her Uncle Darien Patrick, Uncle Tyler Waugh, Aunt Haley Garrett, Aunt Shannon Overton (Mark Overton), and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and other cherished loved ones and friends that make up our blended family.

Words from your older sister Emma:

Even though I was not able to see you I hope to see you in heaven when I get there. It might be a while but until I get to see you, I will keep you in my heart.
