Betty Ruth (Felton) White

On Thursday, November 2, 2023, the White family bid a sorrowful farewell as their Matriarch and Queen, Mother Betty Felton White exchanged time for eternity at home. 

Life Celebration Services will take place on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Greater Saunders Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Hertford, NC, with Rev. Dr. John R. Shannon, Officiating and Bishop Landon B. Mason, Pastor/Eulogist. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  She will also lie in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. 

Mother leaves to mourn two daughters – Angela White of Hertford, NC, Cassandra Carver (Darryl) of Chesapeake, VA; three sons, Joseph White (Stephanie) of Hertford, NC, Rev. Terrence White Sr. (Phyllis) of Elizabeth City, NC, and Gerald White (Letetia) of Hertford, NC; loving sisters -Doris Felton of Elizabeth City and Fannie Daniels of Brooklyn, New York; one brother: Charlie Felton (Catherine); four loving sisters-in-law: Catherine Felton, Annette Felton, Doris Brown and Gladys White Overton; one loving brother-in-law: Leonard Bartlett; Four loved daughters: Kay Acurio, Carolyn Turner, Leonara Vactor and Shirley Cole; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
