Betty Jean (Thompson) Johnson

Our beloved, Betty Jean Johnson, 80, of Winfall, NC, departed from this earthly life on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

Life Celebration Service will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Porters Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Hertford, NC. Interment will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery, Winfall, NC. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

She leaves to cherish her memories; three sons, Darryl Johnson and wife Nanette of Bridgeport, Connecticut; Tyron Johnson and wife Roslyn Johnson of Arlington, Texas; Dwain Johnson of Lusby, Maryland; one Honorary Son, Deacon Preston White and wife Anita White of Winfall, North Carolina; three sisters, Evangelist Alberta Robinson and husband Bishop Henry Robinson of Waterbury, Connecticut; Evangelist Shiann Rutledge and husband Pastor Franklin Rutledge of Bristol, Connecticut; Laverne Oliver and husband Elder Mark Oliver of New Haven, Connecticut; one brother, Elder Verlen Thompson and wife Christine Thompson of Meriden, Connecticut; one Sister In-Law, Judy Thompson of Marietta, Georgia;  five grandchildren; Aaron Johnson, Shalonda Johnson Bryon, Shynese Johnson, Eric Johnson, La’Shavia Johnson Jones; five Great-Grand children, Nixon, Elijah, Ava, Ivy, and Ryland;  And a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
