Our beloved, Deacon Tyrone Knox, Sr., age 64, of 1525 Hopkins Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home, on Friday, June 15, 2018, in the comfort of his home. 

Life Celebration Services will convene on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Eastern Star Church of God in Christ, Elizabeth City, NC with Elder J.C. Purkett, officiating. His remains will then be escorted in the funeral cortege to the Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk, VA. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Monday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. The family will also be receiving friends at the home of the deceased. 

Tyrone leaves to celebrate his 64 years of life: loving wife, Valerie J. Knox, of the home; two children, Tyrone Knox, Jr., (Chari) of Charlotte, NC and Sabrina Knox of Chesapeake, VA; siblings, Gerald Knox (Beatrice) of Norfolk, VA, Anna Marie Knox of Norfolk, VA and Debra Knox Birts (Isidore) of Locust Grove, Ga; two sisters-in-law, Hilda Gibbs (Admire) of Mesic, NC and Isabella Mestre of New York; two brothers-in-law, Theron Jones (Patricia) of Mesic, NC and Rodney Jones (Trudy) of Fayetteville, NC; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
