Richard Wayne Spalding, age 55,  of 2162 Eleuthera Way, Elizabeth City, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

A Service of Honor and Remembrance will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Holy Trinity Community Church where Rev. S. Titus Stallings is Pastor and Rev. Katie Lamb will be officiating. Interment will take place on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Albert G. Horton Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

He leaves to cherish and remember his love: loving wife, Linda Spalding, of the home; two daughters, De'Andris S. Spalding of Raleigh, NC and Jada M. Spalding of Elizabeth City, NC; three sisters, Kaye Martin (Rick) Tina Keene (Nathaniel) and Carol J. Spalding; seven brothers, Joseph R. Spalding (Jean), Jimmy Spalding (Sarah), Lawrence Spalding (Carolyn), Donny Spalding (Doris), Jessie Spalding (Iantha), Mert Spalding (Cheryl) and Charles Spalding (Ruth); and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
