Rev. Reginal Elijah McPherson

Our beloved, Reverend Reginal Elijah McPherson, age 55, of Elizabeth City, NC, suddenly exchanged time for eternity as he gained the wings of a dove, and flew away to be at rest on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at his residence. He was the son of the late Ernest Lee McPherson, Sr. and Helen Olga Mae Jones McPherson.

With careful thoughts and consideration, his loving family will celebrate his life along with friends on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at the St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC, with the Rev. Dr. Ricky L. Banks, Pastor and Officiating. His earthly place of rest will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. Moments of Viewing and Meditation of his earthly remains will take place on Sunday, from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. NO VIEWING WILL BE HELD AFTER THE WORD OF GOD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, on Saturday, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. 

Beautiful memories of Reggie will always be cherish by: his loving wife of 36 years, Lolita Owens McPherson, of the home; one daughter, Shanta McPherson; one grandson, Sean Michael "lil buddy" McPherson; mother, Helen Jones McPherson; three sisters, Courtney McPherson-Barber, Cheryl Alexander (Bernard) and Sharon Harper; two brothers, Ernest McPherson, Jr., (Valerie) and Cornell McPherson (Deborah); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willie Owens and Ethel Bell Owens; brother-in-law, Tim Owens (Pam); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Reggie was a true man of God and we are honored to have been in his presence.
