Rev. Gaylyn Harris (Skeets) Wilson

Our beloved, Rev. Gaylyn Harris Skeets Wilson, age 59, of Elizabeth City, NC, transitioned to her heavenly home during the early morning hours on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. 

Rev. Wilson was currently serving as  the pastor of The historic Mount Lebanon African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, in Elizabeth City, NC.

Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Lebanon A.M.E. Zion Church, 320 Culpepper Street, Elizabeth City, NC with The Right Reverend Kenneth Monroe, officiating and the Right Reverend Darryl Starnes, delivering the eulogy. Her mortal frame will lie in repose at the church on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Grace Skeets, daughter, Amber Lynn Wilson and two siblings. She leaves behind 59 years of love and legacy to: her daughter, Rev. Shanelle Wilson of Williamston, NC; fiancee', Robert L. Wilson, Jr., of New York; two sisters, Lori Skeets of Whitsett, NC and Patricia Mason of Durham, NC; one grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
