Joseph L. Harris

Mr. Joseph L. Harris, age 83 of 1075 US Highway 17S, Elizabeth City, NC, transitioned from this life on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the Elizabeth Health and Rehabilitation Center, Elizabeth City. 

Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Open Door Christian Fellowship Church, South Mills, NC with Rev. Joseph E. Thompson, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in West Lawn Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

Mr. Harris leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Herbert Reno Williams (Cheryl) of Williamsburg, VA and Sylvester Ferebee (Paula) of Upper Marlboro, Md; three sisters, Cherry O. Thompson (Rev. Joseph) and Minnie Aydlett (Clarence) both of South Mills, NC and Glenda Armstrong (Carlton) of Elizabeth City, NC; two brothers, Ernest Harris (Audrey) of South Mills, NC and Allen Harris of New York; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
