John Richard Etheridge

Mr. John Richard Etheridge, age 76, of 494 New Road, Elizabeth City, NC, transitioned from this earthly life, on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City, NC. He was the husband of Olivia Etheridge.

Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Whiteville Grove A.M.E. Zion Church, Elizabeth City, NC. Interment will follow in the Etheridge Family Cemetery. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Myrna Olivia Etheridge, of the home; two daughters, Cheryl Leigh of Elizabeth City, NC and Shaquita Winslow (Billy) of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters-in-law ,Vivian Hobbs and Barbara Shannon; one aunt, Virgia Spellman; four grandchildren, Shawn, Veronica, Justin and Jordan; three great-grandchildren, Jalon, Shawn, Jr., and Arianna; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
